Through the generosity and vision of several prominent Oxford breeders, the Oxford Foundation Flock award was established in 2007.
The Foundation Flock award is given annually at the National Oxford Show and Sale to help establish a new Oxford flock. The award flock consists of quality Oxford ewes and free breeding service for those ewes for the first year. Several breeders have committed to supplying quality animals for this award every year. The ewes will range in age from lambs to young brood ewes. The animals selected are of sound structure and will maintain good breed type.
